I missed the old Skybox soooo much!

back at the end of 2020, the first custom rendering engine for minecraft bedrock entered the stage replacing OpenGL, the Renderdragon Engine. that moment, bedrock starts lagging, pvp resource pack bugged, the community were complaining mojang's decision. and the infamous Skybox Glitch for the first time appeared on Bedrock v.1.16.201 as you can see on the thumbnail.

The way my youtube journey began, I posted my first video called How to fix Minecraft PvP texture pack Glitch.

i was obsessed with resource pack back then, i hate it when this bug happened. i know people were talking about this issue as well. so in my head, i thought why wouldn't i create a tutorial to fix the issue?

i must say it's kind of stupid. but hey! it kinda...work.

however, it only fixed the crosshair and crop the skybox into one sky only. there’s still one thing that still haven't fixed till nowadays, The Daylight Skybox.

You know, before renderdragon released. You can make Skybox changes during daylight, sunset, and midnight. all thanks to this shader pack Custom Cubemap by @CrisXolt. most of pvp packs that day were using his template for the sky.

By the way, the MCPEDL page has been deleted so i use the CurseForge link from the creator

ever since minecraft rendering engine swtiched to renderdragon. the pack still remain 4 fragments of the daylight cycle. The shader is not working anymore, this pack template well be remain our legacy.

but wait... currently there's a term called patched shader. so patched shader is a modified renderdragon rendering code. and this is what shader community does in order to modify bedrock shaders. the question is, why there’s no shader about Daylight skybox yet?

we already have the famous patched shader YSS, Fullbright, AziFy, and other stuff in this DominoKorean/Render-dragon-shader-list and... NONE of them mentioning Daylight Skybox Shader!!

i searched on google only to find out nothing. it seems like everyone have forgotten this skybox. you know, if this shader somehow exist one day - it can be patch version or become vanilla feature, i would make Part Two of my first tutorial, which would be funny. but for now, we can only wait for it to be true…

i wish it will
